Collective Desire creates immersive experiences that are playful and liberatory to help people understand how their lives have been impacted by social, political, and economic systems and how to co-create tangible alternatives to them.
We are movement builders, artists, Earth lovers, and educators with decades of combined expertise in seeking and sustaining liberatory systems through play, reciprocity, sensuality, scholarship, protest, and community organizing. We are constantly learning, always collaborating, and never assuming we have all the answers. We are passionate, caring, silly, creative, flawed, and bold. And we would love for you to join us!
A lot of wealth generated under capitalism results from convincing us we're unfulfilled -- through fabricating consumer 'desires' that create a big black hole of self-worth and self-direction for many people. This empty cycle of desire is one reason why our landfills are overflowing, our oceans are contaminated, and our sea levels are rising.
Growing up in this system makes it difficult to figure out what matters to us and why, and makes it even harder to live in ways that aren't aligned with consumer incentives. We aim to address this problem at the root to help craft a realistic and sustainably beautiful future.
